Alpha Troop

Over the period of the 9th to 11th December 2009, Alpha Troop of 256 Signal Squadron conducted a charity event, where we sailed the parks swan pedaloes down the canals in London (from Wormwood scrubs to Limewood Marina), a distance of 14 miles. The event was in aid of "Help the Heroes". As part of this the Heart of England were generous enough to loan us the pedaloes we required. During the event £11,004 was collected. This could not have been done without the centre's and park's contribution. The money will assist in helping the rehabilitation of injured servicemen and women within the armed forces. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff for allowing us to make this event possible.
